Artillery units spent a lot of time on the shooting for practicing speed, accuracy (i.e. effectiveness) and mobility. To improve accuracy, actual shooting on a regular basis is required. With this, a lot of ammunition is used. As an artillery unit relies on the input of a forward observer to point out targets and to direct the firing, it would be ideal to have a system available that can help with improving effectiveness of the firing (and thus providing better efficiency).
The Microflown AVISA RAM-SCORE system does exactly that. It detects where the impact is of all sorts of direct and indirect fires and provide a graphical display of it. This will allow observers to see precisely where an impact was and direct fire immediately onto the target. This is a large improvement as without the system the directing of fire will take a couple of steps before “fire for effect” can be called. The amount of ammunition wasted will be reduced and less time wasted. For the typical product facilitating this, please see under products: RAM-SCORE
