Airlifting hardware possibilities (e.g. this quadcopter), are designed for multipurpose needs. It is a heavy lift design, powered by four powerful electric motors. It is designed to lift the AMMS on its top. The quadcopter is a foldable design, easy to transport and unfold. Total dimensions are: Ø150x45cm.
The battery does have a double use, meaning when not airborne the AMMS will be powered by the same lithium battery as the one used for powering the electric motors. This model consists of 2 GPS receivers for and precise location and heading calculation. The system is used in the Perch and Listen AMMS.
