The CP is a rugged laptop that is used to control all AMMS settings, including powering on and off, changing sensitivity, recording to an SD card and displaying the locations of detected acoustic events. As well as showing the locations on a map-based interface, the laptop can also interface with a customer command and control (C2) system, so that the locations can be displayed on the users existing C2 system. The CP is composed of a ruggedized notebook, powered USB router and powered antenna.
The rugged laptop is the Man Machine Interface (MMI). This high performance rugged laptop is used to enter all required data to the system and to display the system results. It is also used to control the AMMS that are deployed in the field. Optional a tablet or client laptop can be added for in-field information concerning the AMMS system.
The AMMS Command & Control (C2) Software is the program used to control and run all aspects of the AMMS system for RAM and/or SAF use. The software receives all communication from the AMMS deployed in the field, such as acoustic detections, and collates them together to produce the localisation results in real-time. More about this software can be found in the software section
