The AMMS Command & Control (C2) Software is the program used to control and run all aspects of the AMMS system for SAF use. The software receives information from the AMMS deployed in the field, to process that information, and to display the event localisations.
The detection of an acoustic Small Arms Fire (SAF) event by the AMMS results in a small message reporting time stamp, type of acoustic event, and direction of the event to the AMMS C2. The calculated locations are presented on the AMMS C2 software in both tabular form and on a clock face. The shooter location is presented as grid coordinates, and the direction of shooting is given. All information can be exported or printed out for further reporting and de-briefing. The easy and user-friendly Windows based C2 software allows to easily and conveniently configure and maintain the system.
